This tiny little country sure packs a punch.  I think if I had to live in a big city again, it would probably be this one.  There is a local saying, Singapore is a "Fine" City, you can be fined for spitting, graffitti, urinating in the open, excessive noise, and most notoriously a ban on chewing gum (which has recently been lifted).  The result of all these fines is an orderly city which is surprisingly clean, relaxed and welcoming. The Singaporeans are all about quality of life, the national pastime is eating out and shopping.  They take it quite seriously.  We happened to be there during the month long National Food Festival.  It is also an extremely diverse city.  During colonial times, it was a mix of English, Chinese, Malay and Indian.  Now thanks to the government's investment in a knowledge economy, the country attracts people from all over the world to work.

With only two full days we just did walking tours to see all of the different achitecture, eating and a stop at their fantastic zoo.
