Where has the time gone!? It seems literally like it has been weeks since I first arrived at the house of the Banes family. For better or for worse, they were certainly family!
Mercy had me go on stage with John- John when he received his "Most Industrious" award, Pinaka Pisan. Benjok (Michael) was taking pictures along with Bobby while we are up on stage and somebody asked him why there was a white person up on stage with John 2. Benjok said "ah yeah, we just hired them for the photos". They guys reply was "oh, you must be very rich!"
After the graduation we went back home for one final fiesta before we had to hit the road for the airport. It was really sad to leave, John John wouldn't come out of his room when it was time to say goodbye. We all said our tearful goodbyes. When we finally got into the car and Bobby said to me "I don't think I could say another goodbye" and just then the turkeys let out a loud "GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE". It was so funny because they had been so quiet all day as if they knew we were leaving.
